Watamu

Watamu is a small town located approximately 105 km north of Mombasa and about 15 km south of Malindi on the Indian Ocean. The town is part of Kilifi County, and its major economic activities are tourism and fishing.

Watamu is known for its white sandy beaches and offshore coral formations arranged across several bays and beaches, including Garoda Beach, Turtle Bay, Blue Lagoon, Watamu Bay, Ocean Breeze, Kanani Reef, and Jacaranda Beach.

A marine park is also present – the Watamu Marine National Park – which is considered one of the best snorkeling and diving areas. Watamu is home to the Bajuni people and various tribes from inland Kenya.
