Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley lakes, a shallow alkaline lake with no outflow, located in the Eastern African Rift Valley in Nakuru County.

The lake is approximately 150 km from Nairobi, about a 3-hour drive, and is part of Lake Nakuru National Park. It is famous for its vast numbers of pink flamingos lining the shores of the lake.
