Lake Bogoria

Lake Bogoria is a saline, alkaline lake, formerly known as Hannington, located in Baringo County. It lies in a volcanic region in a half-garden basin south of Lake Baringo and just north of the equator in Kenya.

The lake is one of the five rift valley lakes and is famous for its large flocks of pink flamingos that visit the still waters to feed on algae, creating stunning shades of pink and blue along the lake’s shore.
