Naivasha

Naivasha is a town in Nakuru county situated north west of Nairobi and located along the shores of Lake Naivasha where its name originates. The name Naivasha is said to have originated from the local Maasai word Enaiposha, which means ‘That which heaves’, a common Maasai word for large bodies of water enough to have wave action when it is windy or stormy.
