Aberdare National Park is a protected area in the Aberdare Mountain Range in central Kenya, located east of the East African Rift Valley, approximately 100 km from Nairobi. The nearest town is Nyeri.
The park features diverse landscapes, including:
- Mountain peaks rising up to 4,000 meters
- V-shaped valleys intersected by streams and rivers
- Waterfalls such as Chania, Magura, Queens Caves, Gura, Karuru, Thomson’s (Nyahururu), and Chasing Waterfall
Moorlands, bamboo forests, and rainforests are found at lower elevations.

Note: Guests are advised to carry warm clothing for early mornings and evenings. Access to lodges inside the park is via lodge transfer vehicles. Safari vehicles are left at the park gate and guests are transferred by lodge transport.
